Green Wind Renewables (GWR) welcomes the State Government’s release of the new Community Benefit Guidelines for large-scale renewable energy projects.
The Guidelines provide a clear and consistent framework for how projects can deliver meaningful benefits to local and regional communities, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, transparency and locally led outcomes. They promote early engagement, support independent governance, and ensure community priorities are reflected in long-term, sustainable outcomes.
At GWR, we see this as a positive step forward. We are committed to working closely with landholders, community members, Traditional Owners, local governments and Regional Development Commissions to ensure our projects deliver enduring value alongside renewable energy generation.
The introduction of Community Benefit Guidelines aligns with our existing approach—engaging early and listening to what matters most to the communities we work in.
We look forward to continuing to partner with stakeholders across regional Western Australia as the energy transition progresses.
